Viper wins in Dijon

The second GT 90's Revival Series race, on the Sunday, was characterised by the rain.

Seven cars out of 10 took the depart due to various technical issues and after the 1st lap, it was declared a wet race. Peter Kutemann was the first driver to return to the pit lane to change his slicks for wet tyres but most of the other competitors decided to wait for the pit stop to do so. During the 1st five minutes of racing, Milesi was leading, followed by Chevallard, Ratel and Mhitarian. However, due to the rain, Milesi had to slow down after fifteen minutes, leaving the win to Florent Moulin and Philippe Chevallard with their Chrysler Viper GTS-R; the Ferrari Modena driven by Peter Kutemann finished 2nd and Patrice Milesi was finally 3rd.

After the 1st round of the GT90’s Revival Series, Patrice Milesi is leading with 16 points, followed closely by ex-aequo Michel Mhitarian and Peter Kutemann who have scored 13 points and Florent Moulin and Philippe Chevallard with 10 points.

The next and final round of the 2009 GT90’s Revival Series is scheduled from Friday 30th October to Sunday 1st November at the fabulous high-tech Paul Ricard track during the Grand Prix Historique de Provence.
